Reeves was born in 1921 on a farm in what is now known as the Shawnee National Forest, 7 miles south of Murphysboro, Illinois. On January 20, 1938, he was converted, according to Acts 2:38, under the testimony of Robert D. Wolfe, his boyhood friend. Almost immediately he began to preach, at the age of 16. In his early years, he hitchhiked, rode buses, or walked from one community to the other to minister the Word of God. He often had no place to sleep. He slept in haylofts, in the backs of cars, or whatever places he could find. He has continued for 63 years; evangelizing, establishing new churches, and pastoring. He has pastored First United Pentecostal Church of Granite City, Illinois for 45 years. His wife of 51 years, Norma Lee, and their daughter, Angela both work alongside him at the church. He also earned three law degrees through Blackstone School of Law, but has never had a desire to practice law. His love for God, and His Word, and the calling he has received to explain the Scripture has always been first and foremost. He wants to do the work of the Lord until Jesus comes for him. Rev. Reeves has been led of God to write ten books to date. God has revealed Himself to this man, and he shares his knowledge of God in these inspired books.
